Day 5 - October 5th

SCRIPTURE:
“O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! You show unfailing love to thousands, but you also bring the consequences of one generation’s sin upon the next. You are the great and powerful God, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve. You performed miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt—things still remembered to this day! And you have continued to do great miracles in Israel and all around the world. You have made your name famous to this day.
Jeremiah 32:17-20

KEY VERSE:
O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by Your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You! (v. 18)

THOUGHTS:
In the vast expanse of space, God chose our universe, our planet, our stars, our moon, and our world as the place that He would call home. With all of the more than 7.3 billion people in our world today and all that have lived throughout ages past, He can stills you by name, knows your thoughts, and hears your every word. Such knowledge can either be scary or encouraging for you. Which is it? Why? Don’t let Him be the God of the Good Times. He is the God of the Hard Times, too.

PRAYER:
Father God, even though I am just a small part of Your vast plan for this universe, thank You for caring for me. I can’t even begin to comprehend your love, acceptance, and forgiveness for me but I’m a grateful recipient of them all. One day I know that I will see You face-to-face, but until then help me to serve you no matter what the circumstances of life might bring. Amen.
