SCRIPTURE:
Instead, you will see Zion as a place of holy
festivals.
You will see Jerusalem, a city quiet and secure.
It will be like a tent whose ropes are taut
and whose stakes are firmly fixed.
The Lord will be our Mighty One.
He will be like a wide river of protection
that no enemy can cross,
that no enemy ship can sail upon.
For the Lord is our judge,
our lawgiver, and our king.
He will care for us and save us.
The enemies’ sails hang loose
on broken masts with useless tackle.
Their treasure will be divided by the people of
God.
Even the lame will take their share!
The people of Israel will no longer say,
“We are sick and helpless,”
for the Lord will forgive their sins.
Isaiah
33:20-24 (NLT)
KEY VERSE:
For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us
and save us. (v. 22)
THOUGHTS:
When we think
about the end of life we must think about coming before God, the Righteous
Judge, to give an account of our lives. We will be judged based on our
obedience to His will, His rule, and His grace. The good news is that God is
looking to save us, not condemn us. Examine your life today and make sure that
your spiritual house in order in case that day should come and catch you
unprepared.
PRAYER:
Righteous
Judge of all mankind, I am grateful to know that my life, my fate, and my
future are in Your hands. I know that You love me because You gave me Jesus to
be my Savior. I know that You want to save me because of Your loving grace. I
willingly surrender my all to Your sanctifying Holy Spirit and trust You to
guide me throughout the remainder of my life here and into an eternal future
with You in heaven. Amen.
